Kids Get Fit = Success

As you know, this past weekend we had the pleasure of serving our community by being apart of the NBA All Star weekend. We contributed heavily to the success of Kids Get Fit. Along with the National Retired Basketball Payers Association, a few elected officials and a wonderful group of volunteers, the two-day event was a huge success.

We enjoyed two long mornings of high school kids concerned only with learning all facets of the game of basketball. With the help of several coaching assistants and volunteers, the students rotated though a different basketball station each time learning a different skill. Every participant left with a special edition basketball donated by AccuShot 22, free lunch provided by Aramark and a goodie bag full of gadgets to help assist in maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
Needless to say we were poopped afterwards but seeing the kids enjoy themselves, be inspired by successful community figures and get a chance to experience a new way of learning was the greatest reward of all.
